As an ethical waste clearance company, the environment is very important to us. We are fully licensed by the Environment Agency, and re-use, re-sell or donate collected items, where possible. When disposing of waste, we only do so at licensed commercial waste transfer stations that recycle your waste. All waste is diverted from landfill!

Meet the Team
Ricky
Founder & Managing Director
Ricky is the founder of ETS Waste Management Ltd, forming the company in April 2017. He ran the business almost single-handedly for the first few years, carrying out all of the clearances himself. Since recruiting our fantastic clearance team, Ricky now focuses on running and growing the business in a customer-focused, office-based role.
Vicky
Office Assistant
Ricky’s wife Vicky assists with all the stuff that goes on behind the scenes. From social media to advertising, Vicky can turn her hand to most things.
Luke
Clearance Team
Luke is the newest member of our team, joining in May this year. He is proving to be a tremendous asset to the company, and stays in contact with Ricky throughout the day to ensure that each and every job is carried out on budget and in time. Alongside our driver Richard, Luke carries out every clearance with great care and attention to detail, with customer satisfaction his top priority.

Clearance Team
After Ricky and Vicky, Richard is the longest-serving member of ETS Waste, joining us in March 2023. He makes up our fantastic clearance team, working alongside Luke. Richard is also our driver, meaning he works hard to ensure we arrive on time, every time. He is a hard-working, highly-valued member of our team, who has consistently received fantastic feedback from our customers.
Our Story
ETS Waste Management Ltd started our journey in April 2017, as Eastbourne Tipper Services Ltd. Founder Ricky Sykes had just moved to Eastbourne from Surrey, and launched the business immediately upon arriving in the area.
The idea was to provide modern and professional waste clearance services in Eastbourne. Starting as a one-man operation, he quickly established a website with online quotation facilities, as well as WhatsApp and social media profiles to enable direct communication with customers, in whatever format suited them best.
He hit the ground running, and although Ricky’s wife gave birth to a new baby that was born with difficulties at the end of year one, (resulting in a 7-month hospital stay for mother and baby in London) Ricky continued on as a one-man operation during this time. It was a difficult period that required the business to operate part-time Tuesday-Thursday, as Friday-Monday was spent with mother and baby at the hospital in London!
The business continued to bring in new customers however, and slowly grew through the very positive reviews left by happy customers on Checkatrade, Google and Facebook.
Thriving through Adversity
As year 3 came towards its end in early spring 2020 it was time to start growing the business! We began looking at expanding further out into East Sussex. This required a re-brand, changing our name from Eastbourne Tipper Services Ltd to the current ETS Waste Management Ltd. This also meant a website upgrade, truck upgrade and uniform upgrade, as well as the bringing in of Ricky’s wife Vicky, and brother Mark to the team.
Unfortunately, this was when the coronavirus, or Covid-19 hit the world, slowing progress once again. However, we fought through this setback (while overcoming a £6,000 truck repair bill at the end of June 2020 too!).
Our new website (the one you’re reading) was launched in March 2021, bringing our services to a much wider customer base throughout East Sussex. We are now a happy and efficient team of four, with Ricky running the business and Richard and Luke carrying out the majority of the clearances, with Vicky helping out behind the scenes.
